Orange Buttercream

1 cup
  • 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
    1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
    1 tablespoon finely grated orange zest, or 1 teaspoon orange extract
    3 to 6 tablespoons fresh orange juice
Steps
Cream butter and sugar until blended. Mix in orange zest and enough juice to make a smooth, spreadable frosting.

Use immediately, or refrigerate for up to two days. Let come to room temperature and beat again before using.

Store: In a covered bowl, refrigerated
