Paint Glaze
This glaze is designed to be "painted" onto cookies after they're baked
and cooled. It's great for kids; just divide the glaze up among several
small pots or the compartments of an ice cube tray, and let them paint
away.
Ingredients
At a glance
Cookie icings, fillings, fondant
- 1/2 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- A few drops of food coloring
Steps
Put sifted sugar in a small bowl. Stir in water. The mixture will be
loose. Add just a few drops of the colorings of your choice. If you
want to make several different colors, an ice cube tray comes in handy.
Spoon a little of the uncolored glaze into each compartment, then add
food colorings of your choice.
Use a soft pastry brush or a wide, soft, new artist's paintbrush to brush the cooled cookies with the glaze. Allow frosting to set before serving cookies.
