These butterscotch brownies make a great dessert for family picnics.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour an 8-inch square baking pan.
- Pour melted butter in a mixing bowl. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into butter-sugar mixture. Stir in white chocolate chips and golden raisins. Batter will be thick.
- Spoon batter into prepared pan and smooth top of batter with back of spoon.
- Bake in the center of the oven for 35 minutes or until a tester inserted in the center of the brownies comes out dry.
- Cool brownies in the pan. Cut and remove while still slightly warm, then remove to a wire rack to finish cooling.
