Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
- 1/2 teaspoon chocolate extract (optional)
- About 2 to 3 tablespoons buttermilk
Instructions
- Beat sugar with butter, vanilla, cooled chocolate, and chocolate extract. Stir in enough buttermilk to make a smooth, spreadable frosting.
- Use immediately, or refrigerate in a covered bowl for up to 2 days. Let come to room temperature and beat again before using.
